Kimberley Reserve

Kimberley Reserve is nestled in a bush setting next to a braided river with many popular swimming holes and walking tracks nearby. Just 10 minutes drive from Levin, Kimberly Reserve is also popular with freedom campers (permit required). 

Kimberley Reserve is nestled in a bush setting next to the Ōhau river with many popular swimming holes and walking tracks nearby. There are plenty of grassy areas for families to enjoy a picnic, a spot of cricket, touch rugby or take the dog for a walk.

River/Swimming precautions

Dogs are allowed off leash, though must be kept under control at all times and kept away from swimmers. Please keep children in direct sight.

Pest control warning

There is ongoing pest control work in this reserve. Please keep dogs on a leash and under control at all times. Signage at the reserve provides more detailed information.

Camping Permits are required

Camping is permitted from 1 December to 30 April, subject to availability. There is a toilet/changing block open during this period.

During the camping season, a permit is required to camp at Kimberly Reserve.
